As of 2010, Campbell denoted having a population of over 39,000. With its historic downtown area filled with nightlife, sidewalk cafes, a yogurt shop and even a cupcake store. Boutique shops round out the downtown making Campbell a fabulous place to live.
The Pruneyard Shopping Center is a Campbell based open-air retail complex featuring a movie theater, restaurants, and specialty shops.
The city of Campbell engages live music on the first Friday of every month along the business lined main street, Campbell Avenue. Along with that, Campbell holds a city concert series on Thursday evenings featuring live music, serving food, wine and beer near the Ainsley House, a museum, gallery and wedding venue iconic to Campbell.
Other Campbell events include ‘Boogie on the Bayou’, Relay for Life, a community garage sale, Oktoberfest with its own 5K run/walk.
There is a downtown Farmer’s Market in Campbell on Sundays from 9-1.
Most Campbell downtown events are located near the public library and civic buildings.
